Roseland House and garden have been developed by the owners since they arrived in 1983. The garden is also home to their nursery and the walls support a very extensive collection of climbers. The National Collection of Clematis viticella cultivars start to flower May with a selection still in flower in October. Most of the cultivars were bred during the nineteenth century but in recent years there has been a resurgence of interest and new cultivars are being bred.
